A WORD FORMATION IN PRODUCT NAMING ON SNACK BRANDS

Word formation processes have become one of the most important steps for company in creating brand names. This study aims to identify and describe word on snack brands. There were 30 objects brands this study. The object was names found Alfamart Indomaret. Qualitative descriptive method applied results show that there six words names, namely blending, compounding, borrowing, acronyms, coinage multiple processes. From data, writer 53,3% compound words, 23,3% blending 13,3% borrowing 3,3%
